The CSR Journal Magazine

Authorities recovered two decomposed bodies from a car that was extracted from Ram Sagar pond in the Tonk district of Rajasthan on Sunday. The vehicle became visible after a drop in water levels due to irrigation activities in Awa village. Local residents first observed the roof of the submerged car, leading them to alert the police.

Police Efforts to Retrieve the Vehicle

The personnel from the Duni police station employed specialised equipment to retrieve the car from the pond. Upon opening the vehicle, they discovered the remains of two young men in an advanced state of decomposition. The scene attracted a considerable crowd of onlookers eager to understand the situation.

Identification of the Deceased Underway

Initial reports indicate that the deceased might be two youths from a neighboring village in Bundi district, who had been reported missing since January 8. Authorities have stated that formal identification of the bodies will be carried out following standard procedures.

Post-Mortem Arrangements Made

Officials have arranged for a post-mortem examination to be conducted at the site. Investigators emphasised that it is premature to ascertain whether the circumstances surrounding the deaths are linked to foul play or if they were accidental. An investigation continues to uncover further details.
