Three Arrested After Encounter in Bulandshahr Gangrape and Murder Case

In a shocking incident in Bulandshahr, three men were arrested on Saturday after a police encounter, in connection with the gangrape of a teenage girl and the death of her friend, who was thrown out of a moving car. The arrests took place near the Bulandshahr-Aligarh highway in the Arnia area.

The accused identified as Sandeep Singh (23), Amit (22), both residents of Greater Noida, and Gaurav (22) from Ghaziabad — were caught during a police routine checking. When officers tried to stop their vehicle, the suspects attempted to run over the police and sped off. Their car eventually got stuck in nearby mud, leading to a shootout. Two of the suspects, Sandeep and Gaurav, were shot in the legs and are receiving medical treatment at a hospital.

During the encounter, police recovered illegal firearms, ammunition, and the car allegedly used in the crime. The operation was carried out by a joint team from Khurja Nagar and Arnia police stations.

How the Incident Took Place?

The incident took place on the night of May 6, when the two teenage girls, who were working in Noida, were picked up by the accused under the pretense of offering them a job. The accused forced the girls to drink alcohol and drove them around Greater Noida and nearby areas. Around 1:30 am, a third man joined them in the car.

An argument broke out when one of the girls protested. The accused pushed her out of the car near Meerut, resulting in her fatal injuries. They then drove the other girl to a deserted location, where they raped her and threatened her life. They later abandoned her near a temple in Khurja.

Another Victim Files an FIR

The surviving girl managed to reach a police station and filed a complaint. A case was registered under relevant sections of the Indian Penal Code (IPC) and the POCSO Act.

Police officials confirmed that the case involving the deceased victim is being handled by Meerut Police. “The three accused are now in custody, and legal action is being taken,” said SP Dinesh Kumar Singh.
