There was a time when Literature changed the course of society, igniting minds and hearts. No wonder, it played a big role in every freedom struggle. However, over shadowed by the ‘Best-seller race’ and ‘Page-3 English writer,’ real Literature, regional literature is almost dead.
Presenting, The Great Indian Literary Festival, TGILF, India’s only Regional Literature Festival that promotes writers and writing from the states of UP, Rajasthan, Gujarat and Odisha. Also, it is committed taking Literature to schools, using Literature to spread Nationalism.
Founded by celebrated author, Amit Shankar, who has 4 national bestsellers to his credit, TGILF, Season 2, will focus on ‘Nationalism and Literature.’ It will explore thoughts and ideologies, proposing the way ahead for a better Nation via Literature.
Celebrating it’s Season 2.0, in the picturesque city of Udaipur, 24 and 25 February will witness top Regional Literary talent, Padma Shri and Sahitya Akademi winners, TV actors and Thought leaders.
Padma Shri Prof Dinesh Singh, Padma Shri C P Deval, Shatiya Akademi winner Paramita Satpathy, Kapil Sibal, Sudesh Verma, National Spokesperson, BJP, Shajiya Ilmi, BJP, and top journalists from leading publications will also adorn this 2-day festival.
This season will focua on reviving literature of two Hindi literatures; Padma Vibhushan Vrindavan Lal Verma and Padma Shri Kaka Hathrasi.
