Ford Employees in India Celebrate the Spirit of Volunteerism This September
The month of September will witness close to 14,000 dedicated men and women across Ford’s operations in India come together to contribute to a better world. With close to 47 projects chosen as part of the Global Caring Month, Ford employees across Chennai, Sanand, Gurgaon/NCR and Coimbatore will contribute to society in the areas of education, environmental sustainability, safety, health and humanitarian support.
Volunteerism is an integral part of Ford business with the company encouraging its employees to participate, with paid time off of up to 16 hours annually towards community work. Some of the key volunteer projects earmarked during the month of September this year include:

Ford Global Caring Month marks the largest concentration of Ford employees performing service work in the community each year, but Ford volunteers are on the job at food banks, care facilities and schools all year long. Since its launch in 2005 by Executive Chairman Bill Ford, the Ford Volunteer Corps has contributed more than 1.5 million hours of community service in 50 countries, representing more than $40 million of in-kind community investments.
