Bharat Sisodia, Founder & Chairman, CATCH foundation mentioned, “We are proud to announce the execution of our ‘Aadhar Paryavaran Parivartan Forest Project,’ a significant step we took, towards ecological restoration in Bhilwara. This initiative employed the innovative ‘CVSP Miyawaki’ method to create a vibrant green space that supports local biodiversity and engages the community. We aim to create sustainable surroundings which connects people with nature and hereby invite everyone to join us in this transformative journey toward a greener future. I would like to share my heartfelt gratitude to the Bhilwara Nagar Palika and Aadhar Housing Finance Limited for creating such a great asset to the environment.”
The Miyawaki method, developed by Japanese botanist Akira Miyawaki, involves planting native species in close proximity to replicate natural forests. This technique will accelerate forest growth, resulting in ecosystems that are 30 times denser and grow 10 times faster than those planted through traditional methods.
Sanganer Village, with a population of approximately 5,620, primarily relies on agriculture and brick kiln industries. Aadhar Housing Finance Limited plans to engage the local community and employees of the region in the forest’s maintenance, ensuring its long-term success and establishing a sense of ownership among residents. This tree plantation initiatives aims to mitigate the environmental impact of farming as well as pollution caused through brick kiln aiding to restore and preserve the local ecosystem.
