Telangana, India: A vibrant wave of community service swept through Zilla Parishad High School (ZPHS) at Hythabad Gram Panchayat in Telangana today, as Sri Sathya Sai Annapoorna Trust and Amazon Web Services India came together to empower students through a meaningful health and hygiene awareness drive. The initiative was marked by enthusiastic participation from employee volunteers, who turned a simple school visit into a day of learning, compassion, and inspiration.
At the heart of the program was an interactive wellness session designed especially for girl students. Going beyond conventional lectures, volunteers from Amazon Web Services and Annapoorna Trust used engaging discussions and practical demonstrations to promote awareness about personal hygiene, menstrual hygiene management, and healthy daily habits. The approach helped demystify important health topics, encouraging young girls to ask questions, build confidence, and adopt lifelong wellness practices. Amazon Web Services (AWS) believes in making a meaningful difference in the communities where it operates.
Adding a nutritious note to the day, students relished SaiSure Millet (Ragi) Multi Nutrient Health Mix, a wholesome, iron-rich drink. This small yet meaningful gesture which is served daily at the Amazon sponsored schools echoed the Trust’s larger mission: “Let no child go to school day hungry, ever!”. Through its fortified nutrition programs, Annapoorna Trust currently supports over 16.5 lakh children in Telangana, serving them scientifically crafted morning nutrition every day.
Reflecting on the initiative, Sadguru Sri Madhusudan Sai, Founder of the One World One Family mission, said:
“When we educate and empower young girls, we don’t just shape their futures; we shape society’s conscience. Every value taught and every act of service nurtures the roots of a compassionate, confident, and caring world.”
The Annapoorna Trust, headquartered in Muddenahalli, Karnataka, runs the world’s largest free fortified morning nutrition program, reaching 10 million schoolchildren across 25 states and 4 Union Territories. Its flagship SaiSure supplement — mixed with milk or water and sweetened with jaggery — is served to children after school prayers, helping bridge nutritional gaps and address hidden hunger in rural India.
This collaboration between Sri Sathya Sai Annapoorna Trust and Amazon Web Services demonstrates the powerful impact of purpose-driven partnerships. Together, they are creating healthier, more self-assured communities, proving that when compassion meets corporate commitment, every effort can ripple out to change young lives for good.
