India’s largest B2B e-commerce company mjunction services limited today launched its first inclusive Skill Development Programme here. This marks a significant step forward for the organisation in its Diversity & Inclusion initiatives, especially in wake of the just concluded Pride Month.
The training programme will include 100 beneficiaries of socially marginalised communities, and focus on the LGBTQI community. The initiative was launched by Mr Aninda Chatterjee, Chief Financial Officer (CFO) of mjunction at The George Telegraph Training Institute here. George Telegraph will partner with mjunction in this initiative, which is aimed at empowering the LGBTQI community in particular, and improve their employability opportunities and thus economic independence.
The comprehensive training programme includes Technical Skills development, Entrepreneurship Training, and a Mentorship Programme. The mentorship component will pair LGBTQI participants with mentors from mjunction to provide ongoing guidance and support. mjunction will also organise job fairs for successful candidates in collaboration with other likeminded organisations committed to D&I principles.
After Mumbai, mjunction plans to take this inclusive initiative to other regions and centres of India.
This initiative underscores mjunction’s ongoing commitment to socially marginalised communities. “Project Jyoti,” a special mjunction initiative for visually-challenged students, leverages digital solutions to enhance educational accessibility. Since 2018, mjunction has touched the lives of nearly 2000 students through Project Jyoti. Through its various CSR initiatives, mjunction has touched over 50,000 lives since 2007.
