The assembly elections dates in Bihar have not been announced yet. But the entire state is drowned in the electoral atmosphere. Rallies and meetings of city leaders continue. In this episode, Union Home Minister Amit Shah is on a two -day visit to Bihar on 26 and 27 September. Shah will meet party leaders and workers in Bettiah, Patna, Samastipur and Araria during his visit and discuss the election strategy.

But before Shah’s visit, BJP has suffered a big setback. Former BJP MLA Janardan Yadav, who was a four -time MLA from Narpatganj assembly constituency, resigned from the party. His resignation is considered special because Shah is going to meet the workers in Farbisganj and this area is considered to be the stronghold of Janardan Yadav.

Janardan Yadav’s political career has been long and interesting. He first became an MLA on Janata Party ticket in 1977. However, due to young age, the High Court disqualified him and conducted an election again. In the 1980 by -election, he won from BJP and reached the assembly. After this, in 2000 and 2005 also he won on BJP ticket. In 2015, the party nominated him, but this time he lost.

Why he resigned?

Resigning, Yadav said that corruption in Bihar is at its peak. The police station, block office or any government office does not work without bribe. He alleged that the current BJP MLAs have failed to serve the people and the functioning of government offices is completely derailed.

How much effect?

Now the question is, how much will this decision of Janardan Yadav have an impact on this visit of BJP and especially Amit Shah. Because the purpose of Shah’s program is to bring party workers into electoral mode, but in the meantime the resignation of the former MLA can become a headache for the party.

Politics of shifting parties

This development in Bihar politics has made it clear that before the election, a period of party and resentment has started. Now it has to be seen how the BJP deal with this shock and how much enthusiasm can be filled with the workers with his visit.
