Whereabouts of Dipke Remain Unknown as AISA Reports Access Denied to Neha

The CSR Journal Magazine

The Cockroach Janta Party (CJP) founder Abhijeet Dipke’s location was unconfirmed on Friday night following his detention by the Delhi Police. The party expressed concern over his status, alleging that he had been taken to an undisclosed location and was not permitted to communicate with legal representatives. CJP stated that they had lost contact with Dipke and demanded clarity regarding the reasons for his detention.

CJP took to social media, questioning the treatment of youth by the government and emphasising their rights as citizens. They highlighted that Dipke was apprehended while carrying the national flag, raising questions about the legality of his detention. The party’s leader, Rohan Deshpande, reached out to the Mandir Marg police station, requesting information about Dipke’s whereabouts and the legal justifications for his detention.

Deshpande’s letter expressed concern over the lack of information and urged the police to disclose the legal provisions invoked against Dipke. He also requested details about the authority responsible for his detention and the officer overseeing his custody, insisting that Dipke should have access to his colleagues and legal counsel.

AISA Claims Denial of Access to Neha Bora

The All India Students’ Association (AISA) reported that its president, Neha Bora, had been located at the RK Puram police station after several hours of uncertainty regarding her whereabouts. AISA alleged that she had been moved between various locations in Delhi for nearly five hours, and lawyers who arrived at the police station around midnight were denied access to her. The organisation expressed concern that police were withholding medication from Bora, who had been unwell prior to her detention.

AISA’s social media posts questioned the rationale behind Bora’s prolonged detention at the police station and demanded clarity on the charges against her. The organisation raised concerns about the treatment of a female student leader and sought immediate answers regarding her release. They highlighted the lack of communication from the police regarding her situation.

Former AISA president N Sai Balaji also questioned the police about the conflicting information surrounding Bora’s location. He alleged that she was initially taken to an Anti-Narcotics Task Force facility before being moved again. Balaji expressed concerns about her safety and the manner in which she was detained, calling for transparency from the police regarding her situation.

Political Reactions and Police Justifications

Political leaders, including CPI(ML) Liberation representatives, demanded the immediate release of both Bora and Dipke, criticising the police’s actions. They stated that Bora had been initially taken to an Anti-Narcotics Task Force facility and later shifted, with a legal team deployed to monitor her detention. They also noted that Dipke was detained while heading towards a protest, with his whereabouts still unclear.

CPI(M) Rajya Sabha MP John Brittas highlighted that Bora was taken by plain-clothed officers without her phone, leaving her family and friends unaware of her location. He called for the police to disclose her whereabouts and ensure her access to legal counsel and support. CJP’s legal head, Ratna Singh, echoed these sentiments, demanding immediate clarity on the status of both individuals.

According to police sources, Dipke was apprehended at Jhandewalan while en route to Connaught Place, while Bora was reportedly picked up at Mandi House. The police indicated that approximately 150 individuals had been detained to maintain law and order during the protests, with security personnel deployed in key areas to ensure public safety.
