Within a single night, the police in East Delhi discovered two brutal killings, both tracing back to the same group of juveniles. The first killing was brought to light in the new Ashok Nagar Police Station in the early hours of Thursday. The police were informed of an accident near the Jal Board treatment plant on Kondli Bridge. Upon arrival, the police found a large pool of blood on the road and discovered the victim, who was later identified as Pappu. The 30-year-old graphic designer was declared ‘brought dead’ by doctors after sustaining several staff wounds. He was rushed to the nearby Lal Bahadur Shastri Hospital by passersby after the accident.
Hours later, at 11:26 AM, the police discovered the body of a man, identified as Ramesh, behind the Paper Market liquor shop in Ghazipur. The 49-year-old also sustained multiple stab wounds on his left thigh. The CCTV camera footage collected from the site of the second murder shows four young men attacking Ramesh.

Police Investigates

“After an analysis of both crime scenes and CCTV camera footage, it was concluded that the same group of juveniles are involved in both murders,” said DCP East Abhishek Dhania.
Five minors were apprehended in the case and their individual roles are being investigated according to the police, a group of boys first consumed alcohol in a paper market while celebrating one of their friend’s birthday. During that time, Ramesh had an alleged altercation with the boys over alcohol consumption after which they attacked the man. The group then moved to Dallupura Road, where they allegedly tried to rob Pappu and killed him when he resisted.
Blood-stained clothes and a knife used for the murder by the juvenile boys group have been recovered.
