Tiger Shroff Firing Case: Details on Arrested Suspects

The CSR Journal Magazine

The recent shooting incident involving actor Tiger Shroff has led to the arrest of three individuals, including a minor and a bike taxi driver. The arrests were made by the Anti-Gangster Task Force and Rajasthan Police at Kota railway station as the suspects were travelling from Mumbai to Delhi. The incident occurred on Sunday evening in Mumbai’s Juhu area when assailants opened fire at Shroff’s car as he was leaving a football club.

Fortunately, Shroff did not sustain any gunshot injuries, although his driver and another individual were injured during the attack. The police have identified the arrested suspects as Phool Singh, Hrithik Kumar alias Roshan, and Rehan.

Profiles of the Accused

Phool Singh, a 17-year-old from Haryana, is the youngest among the accused. He hails from Baroda Thuthan village in Sonipat district and is the son of a potter named Naresh. His age and background have raised concerns regarding his involvement in such a serious crime.

Hrithik Kumar, also known as Roshan, is a 22-year-old bike taxi rider originally from Piprai in Bihar’s Begusarai district. He was residing in Gill Barli, near Urdu School, in Mumbai’s Andheri West. As the oldest of the three, he is believed to have played a significant role in the incident.

The third suspect, Rehan, is an 18-year-old resident of Idgah Colony in Sonipat district, Haryana. His involvement in the shooting has also raised questions about the motives behind the attack on Shroff.

Details of the Arrest

The apprehension of the three suspects took place on a train bound for Delhi at Kota railway station. This operation was part of a broader effort by law enforcement to track down those allegedly involved in the shooting incident. Following the attack, Mumbai Police initiated a manhunt, utilising CCTV footage to trace the suspects’ movements and their escape route.

Reports suggest that the attackers had been monitoring Shroff’s activities and were aware of his routine visits to the football ground on Sundays. Investigators believe that they may have conducted reconnaissance of the area before executing the attack.

The shooting incident occurred as Shroff’s vehicle approached the main road after leaving the football club. Eyewitnesses reported that the assailants opened fire and subsequently fled the scene on a motorcycle. The Lawrence Bishnoi gang has reportedly claimed responsibility for the shooting through social media and an audio message attributed to members Anil Pandit and Harman Sandhu.

Response and Ongoing Investigation

In the aftermath of the shooting, police have increased security measures outside Salman Khan’s residence in Bandra, where officers have been deployed wearing bulletproof jackets. This heightened security comes amid concerns for the safety of individuals in the film industry, particularly those associated with Khan.

Maharashtra’s Deputy Chief Minister Eknath Shinde visited Shroff’s residence on the evening of the incident, offering assurances of government support to the actor and his family. Reports indicate that Shroff sustained minor injuries to his hand from gunpowder and glass fragments during the attack.

The investigation into the firing incident continues, with authorities examining the roles of the arrested suspects and the broader implications of the attack. The police are actively working to verify claims made by the alleged gang members regarding their motives.
