Sarvam Launches Programme to Enhance Community Engagement and Support Creators

The CSR Journal Magazine

Sarvam, an Indian AI startup, has recently launched the Sarvam Champions programme aimed at fostering a larger community of creators and builders. This initiative is designed to encourage greater engagement with Sarvam’s tools and to expand its user base. In a statement shared on X, the company detailed that the programme includes two distinct roles: Creators, who actively build projects with Sarvam’s technology, and City Leads, who are responsible for organising local events within their respective cities.

Details of the Champions Programme

The Sarvam Champions programme is structured to provide contributors with early access to the latest AI models from Sarvam. Participants will have the opportunity to engage directly with the startup’s development teams. Additionally, they will be included in a community platform where they can connect and exchange ideas with other builders, enhancing collaboration among its participants. Sarvam emphasised that aspiring creators should already be utilising its tools and should share their creations to qualify for the programme.

Champion creators will have specific responsibilities that include creating instructional content such as tutorials and live-coding sessions, showcasing real projects developed using Sarvam’s resources, and providing valuable feedback to the company for product improvement. On the other hand, City Leads are typically leaders of existing developer communities, tasked with uniting builders in their regions. They are expected to organise monthly events such as workshops and meet-ups that will help users of Sarvam’s tools engage more effectively.

Sarvam has committed to supporting City Leads by funding approved events and providing the necessary materials, such as playbooks and content to facilitate organisation. While the financial backing covers costs related to venue rentals and promotional materials, it notably does not cover prize funds for competitions or events.

Application Process for Sarvam Champions

The application process for the Sarvam Champions programme consists of four stages and allows participants to either apply independently or be nominated by others. Interested individuals can submit their applications through the Sarvam website. Creator applicants are required to demonstrate their technical capabilities by sharing their projects or content, while City Lead applicants need to provide information about their existing community or event management experience.

Applications should include detailed qualifications, past experience, and links to relevant social media profiles to aid in the selection process. This system aims to identify individuals who can contribute meaningfully to the growing Sarvam community and encourage more widespread use of their innovative tools.

In conjunction with the launch of the Champions programme, Sarvam is also in the process of raising funds through a Series B funding round. Recently, IndiGo Ventures has joined other notable investors such as HCLTech and Nvidia in supporting the startup. Sarvam currently holds a valuation of $1.5 billion, establishing itself as India’s first AI unicorn in the industry.
