Just six days before the Bihar Assembly elections, NDA has made a big move by releasing its election manifesto. In this resolution letter released on Friday, many new schemes have been announced for the poor, women, farmers and youth. The biggest attraction of the manifesto was ‘Panchamrit Guarantee’, which has been linked to the all-round welfare of the poor.

Know about Panchamrit Guarantee Scheme

This promise of NDA states that every poor family will be given free ration, free electricity up to 125 units, free treatment up to Rs 5 lakh, 50 lakh new permanent houses and social security pension. By combining these five facilities, it has been named ‘Panchamrit Guarantee’. NDA has described this as the biggest step towards eradicating poverty in Bihar.

What did BJP claim on social media?

BJP claimed on social media, “NDA’s resolution is concrete promises for the welfare of the poor. 50 lakh pucca houses, free ration, 125 units of free electricity, free treatment up to 5 lakh and social security pension. Press the right button, make NDA win.”

Many guarantees mentioned in NDA manifesto

To guarantee the bright future of every youth, NDA has promised to provide more than one crore government jobs and employment.

It has been announced to ensure annual assistance of Rs 9,000 to every farmer and purchase of crops at the minimum support price through Kisan Samman and MSP guarantee.

Under the guarantee of industrial revolution, an investment of Rs 1 lakh crore has been promised through ‘Vikas Bihar Industrial Mission’, which is said to create lakhs of new jobs.

Under the education guarantee, financial assistance of ₹ 2,000 per month will be given to Scheduled Caste students studying in higher educational institutions.

NDA calls resolution letter as roadmap for development of Bihar

NDA has described its resolution letter as a roadmap for the development of Bihar and said that it is not just a document of promises but of realizing the dream of ‘Developed Bihar’. This manifesto of NDA has heated up the political atmosphere before the first phase of voting on 6th November. Now it remains to be seen how much big promises like ‘Panchamrit Guarantee’ can influence the voters.
