Iran Rejects Involvement in Attacks in Turkey and Oman, Promises to Counter Global Challenges

The CSR Journal Magazine

The Iranian leadership, represented by Mojtaba Khamenei, has categorically denied any involvement of Iran or its allied forces in the recent attacks targeting locations in Turkey and Oman. In a comprehensive address marking the approaching Iranian year 1405, Khamenei characterized these incidents as a “false flag” operation intended to sow discord between Iran and its neighboring countries. He emphasized that such actions are part of a larger strategy orchestrated by what he termed the “Zionist enemy” to destabilize regional relations.

Eid al-Fitr Greetings and Military Achievements

Khamenei extended Eid al-Fitr greetings to Muslims across the globe, celebrating what he referred to as the “resounding triumphs” achieved by Iran’s armed forces during the “third imposed war.” He articulated that adversaries had attempted to instill fear and despondency among the Iranian populace but had ultimately failed, attributing this to the national unity and resilience exhibited by citizens. Reflecting on the past year, he mentioned three significant military and security confrontations, including a conflict with Israel in June, a “coup attempt” in January, and ongoing warfare.

Resilience Against External Pressures

Khamenei asserted that enemies had miscalculated the public sentiment in Iran, arguing that rather than inciting unrest, these challenges had reinforced national cohesion. He noted that the Iranian people had “endured three confrontations” and credited widespread public participation, including demonstrations and national events, for effectively countering external pressures. He stressed that a united front across political, cultural, and religious lines had delivered a “confusing blow” to adversaries.

Focus on Economic Stability and National Unity

On the economic front, Khamenei introduced the slogan for the new year as “a resistance economy in light of national unity and national security.” He highlighted the necessity of addressing enduring economic and managerial weaknesses, enhancing the livelihoods of citizens, and bolstering welfare infrastructure as vital components of an ongoing economic war. He cautioned domestic media against amplifying internal weaknesses, arguing that such narratives could be utilized by adversaries to weaken national security.

Strengthening Regional Relations

Khamenei also underscored the significance of fostering regional ties, particularly with neighboring countries like Pakistan and Afghanistan. He called for enhanced relations and cooperation among Muslim nations, reiterating Iran’s commitment to engagement based on shared religious, cultural, and strategic interests. The message blended religious sentiments with political and military assertions, underscoring the interconnectedness of national unity, economic resilience, and regional diplomacy as primary objectives for the upcoming year.
