In a bid to combat the menace of environmental pollution, Droom, India’s largest and pioneering online automobile transactional marketplace, introduced its ‘Droom Bindaas Ghoom Let’s Go Green’ campaign. This is one of the several thoughtful initiatives undertaken by the company to contribute to society, and falls completely in line with the government’s vision of transforming Delhi NCR into a clean and green city.
As part of this campaign, each and every employee pledged to curb the evils of pollution by planting 1000+ saplings of the hypoestes variety all around the Droom Campus in Gurugram.
Through this campaign, the brand seeks to strengthen the global-scale ‘Go Green’ initiative by lending its wholehearted support to the same. Hypoestes is a polka-dotted plant species that is well known for its oxygen-enriching ability and was therefore selected for this intensive green plantation exercise by Droom. Considering how the pollution levels are alarmingly high in Delhi NCR, initiatives like these can help bring about a significant difference and serve as an ideal example for others to follow.
Commenting on this campaign, Sandeep Aggarwal, Founder and CEO, Droom remarked, “We have previously initiated and partaken in several such drives, including our ‘Talking God’ campaign which dealt with road rage and the ‘Ambulance First’ campaign to encourage responsible driving. Our ‘Droom Bindaas Let’s Go Green’ campaign is an important exercise in the same direction. The campaign has been quite successful and enriching already, as Droom Campus recently established itself as one of the cleanest and greenest office premises in the country. As corporates, it is our moral responsibility to contribute to the society that we thrive in, and I hope other organizations realize the same and commit themselves to such meaningful causes as well.”
Droom’s passionate involvement in the ‘Go Green’ campaign is in sync with the growing consciousness of the global business environment to integrate sustainable measures within its organizational culture. Such corporate-led movements can help generate greater awareness towards pressing societal and environmental concerns, thus paving way for tangible positive actions.
