CM Naidu Says Only Hindus Should Work Inside Tirumala Temple

Only Hindus should be employed in Lord Sri Venkateswara Temple at Tirumala, said Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister N Chandrababu Naidu on Friday. His remarks came during the chief minister’s visit to the temple to mark the birthday of his grandson N Devansh Naidu. The chief minister also said that employees of other faiths would be transferred out of the temple.
“People belonging to other faiths, if they are still working in the temple, they will be respectfully relocated to other places. If Christians or Muslims do not wish to continue working in Hindu places, their sentiments would be respected and transferred,” said CM Naidu.

Tirumala Tirupati Devasthanams Board

The statement has come two months after the Tirumala Tirupati Devasthanams (TTD) board, which manages the temple, transferred 18 of its employees who reportedly practised and participated in non-Hindu religious activities.
Alongside Naidu also announced the cancelling of the allotment of the 35 acres of land in Tirupati to Hotel developers of Devlok, MRKR and Mumtaz builders. This decision flips the earlier decision of allotment made by the previous Andhra Pradesh government of the YSR Congress party.
