The blaze halted traffic across the busy stretch, leaving commuters stranded and unsure of what had happened.

Traffic Chaos as Car Burns on the Sea Link

Travellers on the bridge reported spotting flames and billowing smoke long before reaching the scene. Vehicles slowed to a complete stop, creating an extensive jam, while startled motorists watched the fire spread across the damaged car. Emergency crews were forced to reroute traffic to prevent further incidents and clear space for fire engines and police vehicles.

Videos later shared online show the sedan reduced to a charred shell as firefighters worked quickly to put out the flames.

All Passengers Safe Despite Severe Impact

Initial information suggests that there were three to four people inside the vehicle at the time of the crash. Remarkably, everyone inside managed to get out safely before the fire intensified. Witnesses stated that the car twisted sharply upon hitting the barrier, and the impact was so strong that the flames erupted almost immediately.
