Ayodhya Gears Up for Grand Ram Navami Celebrations with Comprehensive Arrangements

The sacred city of Ayodhya braces for its exceptional Ram Navami festival by mobilising millions of devotees from all over who plan to visit this special destination. Extended safety protocols applied by the Ayodhya Municipal Corporation ensure that the celebrations starting March 30 will be well-organised to support both pilgrim safety and comfort.

The city has introduced supportive measures to address the hot summer conditions because more than 50 lakh devotees are expected to visit. Protective mats will be placed in the Rampath area from Shringarahaat to Gate No. 3 to provide comfort against the hot temperatures. Water sprinkling of the mats will occur regularly to achieve cooling relief. Dharmpath will have shaded temporary camps created to provide shade from hot conditions. All devotees visiting the city will find drinking water stations located at 243 designated points throughout the urban area.

Cleaning Stages Set for Sanity

The municipal authorities have initiated a three-stage cleaning plan to ensure the fair area maintains high levels of cleanliness. The initial cleaning phase employs over 1,200 workers who will operate before new teams begin their work in subsequent stages. All three locations namely Dharmpath, Rampath, and Bhakti Path will receive regular cleaning attention from this group of workers. The city received 395 dustbins for effective waste management as part of this initiative.

In addition to cleanliness, 34 mobile toilets have been installed to cater to the large crowds, and temporary sanitation facilities are being set up throughout the fairgrounds. An enforcement team, working with the local police, will monitor and remove any encroachments to maintain the smooth flow of foot traffic.

CM Yogi to Personally Supervise Service

The Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath personally supervises the service preparations. Enthusiasts attending the celebrations will encounter no difficulty according to the requirements established by the chief minister during his latest assessment meeting. The details of sanitation together with security measures fall under his direction through his leadership role.

As part of Ayodhya’s preparations, the city is also taking steps to manage the accommodation needs of the devotees. Hotels, dharamshalas, and homestays are already at full capacity, with alternative accommodations also nearing their limits. The anticipated large crowds are primarily due to the historical significance of this year’s Ram Navami celebrations, following the inauguration of the Ram Temple.

Another highlight of this year’s festivities will be the Surya Tilak event on April 6. At precisely noon, the sun’s rays will be directed onto Ramlala’s forehead, thanks to an innovative mechanism developed by the Central Building Research Institute (CBRI). This spectacular event will be streamed live, allowing devotees worldwide to witness this divine moment.

With meticulous preparations underway, Ayodhya is ensuring that the Ram Navami celebrations will not only be a religious occasion but also an experience marked by comfort, safety, and devotion.
