Vivo plans to launch the T5 Pro 5G in India

The CSR Journal Magazine

Vivo is preparing to introduce the Vivo T5 Pro in India, although the specific launch date remains unconfirmed. The company has generated buzz by unveiling a dedicated microsite on Flipkart, where it has shared significant specifications and design features of the upcoming device. This model will serve as the successor to the Vivo T4 Pro, which debuted in August last year.

Design and Specifications of the Vivo T5 Pro

The design of the Vivo T5 Pro features a vertically aligned dual-camera configuration situated within a rectangular module that has rounded edges. Accompanying the cameras is an LED flash as well as an additional circular component. The power button and volume controls can be found on the left side of the device, while the right side remains devoid of any buttons, presenting a clean appearance. At the base of the smartphone lie a speaker grille, a USB Type-C port, and a SIM tray.

According to the information provided on the microsite, the Vivo T5 Pro is equipped with an extensive 9,020mAh battery, representing a noteworthy enhancement from the 6,500mAh battery found in its predecessor, the Vivo T4 Pro. It is also anticipated to support 90W fast charging, maintaining the same charging speed despite the increase in battery capacity. These battery specifications are consistent with earlier leaks from tipster Yogesh Brar.

In terms of display, the Vivo T5 Pro is expected to feature a 1.5K AMOLED screen with a refresh rate of 144Hz, which offers an improvement over the full-HD+ AMOLED panel and 120Hz refresh rate found in the Vivo T4 Pro. Such features are likely to contribute to a more immersive viewing experience.

Performance and Additional Features

Powering the Vivo T5 Pro will be Qualcomm’s octa-core Snapdragon 7s Gen 4 chipset, which is expected to provide an efficient performance for users. The smartphone is projected to operate on Android 16, layered with Vivo’s OriginOS 6, enhancing its functionality and user experience. Additionally, the device may include an IP68+ and IP69+ rating, indicating robust dust and water resistance capabilities.

The Vivo T5 Pro is likely to be marketed as a mid-range smartphone. The entry-level model, which includes 8GB of RAM and 128GB of storage, is anticipated to have a price point around Rs 29,999. This positioning makes it competitive within its segment, appealing to a wide range of consumers.

For reference, the Vivo T4 Pro was equipped with a 6.77-inch display and operated on the Snapdragon 7 Gen 4 chipset. It featured a triple rear camera setup, highlighted by a 50-megapixel primary sensor, and was backed by a 6,500mAh battery with support for 90W fast charging, underscoring Vivo’s commitment to enhancing the user experience with each new iteration.
