What was meant to be a quiet night at home turned into an unexpected adventure for a Pune-based man and his friend, after a simple mistake left them stranded on their own balcony at 3 am. With no access back inside and their parents asleep indoors, the duo’s unusual solution has now become a viral talking point online.
The incident surfaced after Mihir Gahukar posted a video on Instagram documenting the late-night drama. The clip was shared with the text, “We got locked in our own balcony at 3am, so we did this.” What followed left social media both amused and stunned.
Pune Duo Turns to Blinkit for Help
According to the video, Gahukar and his friend realised they had no way of opening the balcony door from outside. Waking up their parents was not an option, and panic soon gave way to quick thinking. Rather than calling neighbours or emergency services, they reached out to a Blinkit delivery agent a move few would dare to attempt.
In the clip, one of the friends can be heard speaking calmly on the phone, carefully explaining the situation to the delivery agent. He walks him through every step from finding the house key to unlocking the main door and entering silently to avoid waking anyone. The instructions are precise, and the agent listens attentively.
The video then cuts to the Blinkit delivery agent successfully entering the house and heading toward the balcony. As soon as he appears, the friends break into laughter, visibly relieved that their unusual plan worked. The moment captures both the absurdity and relief of the situation.
Shared from the Instagram handle ‘mihteeor’, the clip quickly gained traction, with users pointing out how easily the situation could have gone wrong. One user commented, “Imagine your parents woke up to see him entering the house.” Another praised the delivery agent, writing, “He deserves a good tip for his work, a true hero haha.”
Netizens React With Jokes and Praise
Trust and humour dominated the comment section. A user joked, “Girls- I can’t trust her we only know each other for 6yrs…. le boys- ha Bhai hum log lock h key udhr h andar aja n hume bahar nikal.” Another reaction read, “Vo kuch bhi galat kr skta tha but hats off to him for being a nice human.”
The video also opened the floodgates for people to share their own similar experiences. One user wrote, “Once I order bilink to wake up my husband. I was at work, and my husband was not responding to calls at home. So I ask the delivery guy to knock on the door until he gets up…!!” Another added, “I’m telling this for so long .. blinkit is not just carrying goods but also our emotions. They have all the solutions.”
Some stories were far more intense. “The same thing happened to me last month. My son closed the French slide, and we got locked in my balcony on the 9th floor. I screamed for help, building men kicked the door badly after 2 hours. In between, I hit my son too as a lifelong lesson to remember,” one user shared. Another commented, “Same story with me. Just that my roommate locked me inside and went to the office.”
While a few users expressed concern over safety and trust, most agreed that the incident reflected quick decision-making, human decency, and how everyday situations can turn into unforgettable moments. What began as a late-night mistake ended up becoming a viral reminder that sometimes, help arrives from the most unexpected places.
