A shocking incident has come to light from Haryana’s Gurugram city. An 8-year-old boy, Raunak, died after falling from the balcony of a second-floor house in Gurugram on Saturday evening, police reported on Sunday. The child was playing with his younger brother near the balcony when the tragic incident occurred.

Raunak’s father, Vijay, a labourer from Pratapgarh district in Uttar Pradesh, lives in a rented accommodation in the Khandsa area of Gurugram with his wife and two sons. He told police that both his sons were playing in the balcony when Raunak climbed onto the grill, lost his balance, and fell onto the street below.

Efforts to Save the Child

According to Vijay, he was at home when the incident happened. Upon witnessing Raunak fall and suffer severe bleeding, the family immediately rushed him to a nearby hospital. However, doctors declared him dead on arrival due to the severity of the injuries.

Police Action and Post-Mortem

Police reached the spot after being informed and later arrived at the hospital. The body was sent for post-mortem examination and handed over to the family for last rites. No foul play is suspected, and the incident has been registered as an accidental death.
