क्लाइमेट ट्रैकर के मुताबिक, भारत में गर्मी से जुड़ी मौतों का आंकड़ा नाइजीरिया के करीब 56,000 मौतों के अनुमान के बाद आता है। दक्षिण-पूर्व एशिया में भी खतरा बना हुआ है। इंडोनेशिया में करीब 29,000 और ब्राजील में 19,000 मौतों का अनुमान लगाया गया है। ये आंकड़े ट्रैकर के अनुमान हैं और इन्हें निश्चित मौतों की संख्या नहीं माना जाना चाहिए।

अल-नीनो क्या है?

राजद ने कांग्रेस को पछाड़ा

राजद ने दरभंगा शिक्षक सीट पर कांग्रेस के सीटिंग MLC मदन मोहन झा को हरा दिया। मदन मोहन झा करीबी मुकाबले में केवल 324 मतों से हारे। जबकि राजद के कुंवर राउत को इस सीट पर केवल 128 वोट मिले। इससे स्पष्ट है कि राजद ने कांग्रेस के खिलाफ माहौल बना दिया, जिससे मदन मोहन झा अपनी सीट गंवा बैठे। राहुल गांधी चाहे राजद की जितनी तरफदारी करें, लेकिन हकीकत यह है कि उनकी पार्टी को इस चुनाव में करारा झटका लगा है।

क्या राहुल गांधी के आंदोलनों का असर नहीं?

बिहार में नशे के वैकल्पिक साधनों का इस्तेमाल तेजी से बढ़ रहा है। पिछले पांच वर्षों में स्वापक औषधि एवं मनःप्रभावी पदार्थ (NDPS) अधिनियम के तहत मामले और गिरफ्तारियां बढ़ी हैं। 2022 में इस अधिनियम के तहत 1,822 मामले दर्ज हुए थे, जो तीन साल में 67% बढ़कर 2,716 तक पहुंच गए हैं। इस साल जनवरी से मई तक 1,095 मामले सामने आ चुके हैं। यह आंकड़े नशे की बढ़ती समस्या को स्पष्ट करते हैं।

नशा मुक्ति केंद्रों की भीड़

बिहार में ड्रग्स की समस्या को और बेहतर तरीके से समझा जा सकता है। नशा मुक्ति केंद्रों में लोगों की संख्या तेजी से बढ़ रही है। सामाजिक न्याय और अधिकारिता मंत्रालय ने संसद में बताया कि 2022-23 में बिहार के नशा मुक्ति केंद्रों में ड्रग्स के शिकार 1,487 लोगों की मदद की गई। यह संख्या पिछले दो वर्षों में लगभग 20 गुना बढ़कर 29,429 पहुंच गई है। यह स्थिति नशे की समस्या की गंभीरता को दर्शाती है।

सरकार की चुनौतियां

अगर हम अंतरराष्ट्रीय स्तर पर देखें, तो अमेरिका, रूस, नॉर्वे, और फिनलैंड जैसे देशों में भी शराबबंदी लागू की गई थी, लेकिन कुछ समय बाद इसे हटा दिया गया। वहां भी इसे हटाने के पीछे के कारण और हालात बिहार की स्थिति से मिलते-जुलते हैं। यह दर्शाता है कि शराबबंदी का असर हमेशा सकारात्मक नहीं होता है।

As the investigation progressed, authorities reportedly identified connections between the drug network and manufacturing facilities located at Vetukuri Labs in Kondamadugu and SM Labs in Moula Ali, Hyderabad. Additionally, a clandestine manufacturing unit was traced to a poultry farm situated in Maregaon, Maharashtra, raising concerns about the scale of operations.

During a raid conducted at the suspected manufacturing site in Maharashtra, officials allegedly discovered chemical-processing equipment along with various raw materials. Among the items found were toluene, hydrochloric acid, and phosphorus oxychloride, which are commonly associated with the production of synthetic drugs.

Investigators suspect that the facility was being utilised for the manufacture of several synthetic drugs, including mephedrone, alprazolam, and ephedrine. The recent arrests include Saddam Hussain, Rakesh Verma, and Jairaj Shetty, who are believed to be integral to the network’s operations.

Authorities are currently examining the alleged supply chain of precursor chemicals originating from Gujarat. They are also scrutinising the roles of various individuals believed to be involved in arranging the necessary equipment, logistics, and infrastructure required for the drug manufacturing process.

The Director of the EAGLE Force, Sandeep Shandilya, has stated that investigators are actively tracing the operations of the drug network across multiple locations.
