In recognition of her exceptional contributions to social development and public service, Dr Priti Adani, Chairperson of the Adani Foundation, was conferred with the prestigious Doctor of Science (D.Sc.) Honoris Causa by Datta Meghe Institute of Higher Education & Research (DMIHER), a deemed university in Wardha, Maharashtra.

Chancellor Datta Meghe presented the honorary degree during the university’s 16th convocation ceremony, where Dr Adani was invited as the Guest of Honour. In her address to the graduating students, Dr Adani shared her personal philosophy of service, stating, “सेवा साधना है, सेवा प्रार्थना है और सेवा ही परमात्मा है”, reaffirming her lifelong commitment to fostering inclusive progress and lasting transformation across vulnerable communities.

This is Dr Adani’s second honorary doctorate, having previously been honoured by Gujarat Law Society University in Ahmedabad in 2020 for her outstanding dedication to social upliftment. Her list of accolades also includes the Banas Ratna Award from the Rotary Club of Palanpur (2019) and the Award of Excellence for Social Impact by FICCI’s Ladies Organisation (FLO) in 2022.

A qualified dental surgeon by training, Dr Priti Adani chose to devote herself to the service of society rather than clinical practice. Since taking over as Chairperson of the Adani Foundation, the CSR arm of the Adani Group, she has redefined corporate social responsibility in India through a mission of deep community engagement and sustainable change.

Established in 1996, the Adani Foundation works across five core pillars: education, health and nutrition, sustainable livelihoods, climate action, and community development. Under Dr Adani’s visionary leadership, the Foundation has positively impacted over 9.1 million people in 6,769 villages across 21 states, with a strong focus on empowering women, children, youth, and marginalised populations.
