केरल के तिरुवनंतपुरम से एक मामला सामने आया है। यहां नेय्याट्टिनकारा में एक महिला ने अपनी छह साल की बेटी को सिर्फ इस वजह से बेरहमी से पीट दिया कि उसकी बच्ची ने मोबाइल से वॉट्सऐप ऐप हटा दिया था। यह घटना उस समय हुई जब बच्ची ने मां के मोबाइल से वॉट्सऐप ऐप को अनइंस्टॉल कर दिया और मां जब दोबारा ऐप इंस्टॉल करती हैं तो पुरानी चैट्स वापस नहीं मिलती। इसके कारण महिला ने गुस्से में आकर अपनी बेटी को मारा। इस मामले के बाद केरलम राज्य बाल अधिकार संरक्षण आयोग ने स्वतः संज्ञान लेते हुए मामले की जांच शुरू की है।

गुस्से का महौल, मां की बर्बरता

पुलिस के अनुसार, यह घटना शुक्रवार सुबह हुई। बच्ची ने अपने खेल में मोबाइल से वॉट्सऐप ऐप को अनइंस्टॉल कर दिया था, जिससे उसकी मां को गुस्सा आ गया। मां ने सोचा कि ऐप दोबारा इंस्टॉल करने पर सभी मैसेज वापस मिल जाएंगे, लेकिन ऐसा नहीं हुआ। इसी गुस्से में उसने अपनी बेटी को बेरहमी से पीटा। इस पिटाई से बच्ची गंभीर रूप से घायल हो गई, जिसके बाद उसे अस्पताल ले जाया गया। हालांकि, शुरुआत में बच्ची के परिजनों ने डॉक्टरों को बताया कि उसे घर में खेलते समय चोट लगी है।

डॉक्टर को हुआ संदेह, मामला सामने आया

अस्पताल में जब डॉक्टर ने बच्ची के शरीर पर चोट के निशान देखे तो उसे संदेह हुआ। इसके बाद डॉक्टर ने बच्चे से अलग से बात की। इस बातचीत में बच्ची ने कथित तौर पर बताया कि उसकी मां ने उसे पीटा था। इसके बाद अस्पताल के अधिकारियों ने पुलिस को घटना की सूचना दी। पुलिस ने मामले की गंभीरता को समझते हुए जांच शुरू की और बच्ची की मां को हिरासत में ले लिया।

बाल अधिकार संरक्षण आयोग की कार्रवाई

इस हादसे के बाद केरलम राज्य बाल अधिकार संरक्षण आयोग ने पारस्साला थाने के प्रभारी और जिला बाल संरक्षण अधिकारी से स्पष्टीकरण मांगा है। इस मामले ने बच्चों की सुरक्षा और उनके साथ होने वाली हिंसा पर नई बहस को जन्म दिया है। आयोग की निगरानी में यह मामला तेजी से आगे बढ़ रहा है। पुलिस मामले की जांच कर रही है ताकि ऐसी घटनाएं फिर से न हों।

घटनाओं की रात का मंजर

पुलिस के अनुसार, यह घटना 2 अक्टूबर की रात हुई। शरीफ ने घर में चिकन बिरयानी लाने का बहाना बनाकर जहर मिलाया। इसके बाद रिफत और नुजहत ने बिरयानी खाई और सोने के लिए घर की छत पर चली गईं। संयुक्त रूप से वो लोग वहां रुक गईं, लेकिन नुजहत थोड़ी देर बाद उमस के कारण अपनी मौसी के घर चली गई। पुलिस के अनुसार, नुजहत की जान इसीलिए बच गई, क्योंकि अगर वह घर पर रुकती, तो वह भी आरोपी का शिकार हो सकती थी।

3 अक्टूबर की सुबह, करीब 5 बजे, शरीफ कथित तौर पर मौसी गौसिया के घर पहुंचा और परिवार को बताया कि रिफत बेहूश पड़ी है। परिवार ने तुरंत उसे अस्पताल ले जाया, लेकिन डॉक्टरों ने उसे मृत घोषित कर दिया। प्रारंभ में, इसकी वजह फूड पॉइजनिंग बताई गई, लेकिन पुलिस को शरीफ का व्यवहार संदिग्ध लगा। इसके बाद, जांच का सिलसिला शुरू हुआ।

According to police reports, a disagreement arose over Motiram’s intention to sell a portion of land—an action that Abhay opposed. This conflict allegedly escalated into a confrontation that culminated in Motiram shooting his grandson.

The investigation has also unveiled efforts by family members to obscure the true nature of the incident and maintain the accident narrative. Reports suggest that the body was relocated from its original position, the rifle was cleaned and stored away, and CCTV cameras at the restaurant were removed. As part of the continuing investigation, a First Information Report (FIR) has been filed against five individuals for their alleged roles in concealing evidence and for misrepresenting the circumstances surrounding the fatal shooting. According to police statements, Motiram has reportedly acknowledged firing the shot but claims he acted in self-defence, alleging that Abhay had threatened him during their argument. Investigation Reveals Love Affair and Murder Plot

The victim, identified as Praveen, also known as Parvinder, was found deceased with two gunshot wounds. Within two and a half days of the incident, police conducted an extensive investigation that uncovered details surrounding Rekha’s relationship with Vikas, a family acquaintance and contractor involved in local earth-filling projects. Their romantic involvement reportedly began in 2018 or 2019, and both expressed a desire to marry.

According to police reports, Praveen discovered his wife’s affair and opposed it. This led Rekha and Vikas to devise a plan to eliminate him. It was uncovered that Rekha used the proceeds from selling a piece of land to gather the necessary funds for the murder.

To execute their plan, Vikas enlisted the help of Raja, alias Kala, and Kalyan Singh. Raja allegedly had a personal grievance against Praveen, as the latter owed him approximately Rs 1.5 lakh. This animosity is believed to have incentivised Raja’s participation in the murder. Vikas assured both Raja and Kalyan Rs 3 lakh each for their involvement in the crime.

Execution of the Murder Plan

On the day of the incident, Praveen was lured to the forest where Raja and Kalyan were waiting for him. It was reported that each assailant fired one bullet, leading to Praveen’s untimely death. After the shooting, both men reportedly fled the scene.

The police took swift action following the discovery of Praveen’s body, which was later sent for a postmortem examination that confirmed the presence of two gunshot wounds. With the help of communication tracing, authorities uncovered the methods used to plan and execute the murder.

During their investigation, police recovered four mobile phones, including a newly purchased device and a SIM card believed to have been used for illicit communications related to the crime. Additionally, a Swift car and Praveen’s motorcycle were seized as part of the investigation.

Arrests Made and Legal Proceedings Initiated

In the course of the investigation, senior police officer Sanjay Kumar Verma reported the recovery of two illegal .315-bore country-made pistols, along with both live and spent cartridges from the accused individuals. These firearms have been sent for further analysis to ascertain their role in the murder.

The police have apprehended Rekha, Vikas, Raja, and Kalyan Singh and subsequently filed legal cases against them under various sections of the Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita, as well as invoking provisions of the Arms Act. The investigation remains ongoing as authorities continue to gather evidence and details surrounding the case.

Details of the Incidents

The first incident unfolded at Mathew’s residence in San Jose, where she was allegedly attacked. Witnesses reported an uninvited visitor arriving at her door shortly before the crime. Mathew was discovered by her husband, who found her unconscious with multiple stab wounds. According to law enforcement, she had been strangled and subsequently stabbed, resulting in severe blood loss.

About 90 minutes post the incident involving Mathew, Baby reportedly contacted Hari and asked her to meet in the parking area of their shared apartment complex in Milpitas. Friends and family described their relationship as close, and witnesses indicated that Hari approached Baby’s SUV in a relaxed manner. It was subsequently alleged that Baby accelerated her vehicle and struck Hari before fleeing the scene.

Following the collision, Baby allegedly drove away from the apartment complex, hitting three parked vehicles en route. Law enforcement later discovered a blue Toyota SUV abandoned outside a retail pharmacy approximately 1.6 kilometres from the site of the incidents. Baby reportedly exhibited signs of confusion, struggled to respond to police inquiries, and was found with blood on her arms and legs.

Current Legal Proceedings and Reactions

Anila Baby has been booked into the Santa Clara County Main Jail. Following her initial court appearance in Santa Clara County on September 12, she is scheduled to return on November 17 to potentially enter a plea. She faces two counts of first-degree murder, which could result in a sentence ranging from 50 years to life imprisonment if convicted, as reported by ABC7 News.

The circumstances surrounding these tragedies remain under investigation, with authorities indicating that the motive for the attacks is not yet clear. There have been speculative reports suggesting that Baby’s employment difficulties in the United States might be connected to the incidents; however, this has not been confirmed by police. In the aftermath of the killings, the Kerala government has mobilised efforts to repatriate the remains of both victims.

State officials have assured their families of support in accelerating legal processes necessary for the return of the bodies to India. Additionally, the Indian Embassy and the Malayali Association in California are providing assistance to the grieving families, who are currently waiting for the completion of post-mortem examinations and other legal formalities before the bodies can be transported back to Kerala for final rites.

According to police reports, Habil claimed that an unnamed vehicle struck them while they were riding. Following the incident, both Sofia and Habil sustained serious injuries, with Sofia succumbing to her injuries shortly thereafter. Upon receiving reports of the accident, traffic police arrived on the scene, prompting an initial investigation into the matter.

As the investigation unfolded, detectives noticed several inconsistencies in Habil’s narrative about the events leading up to the alleged accident. In particular, the location provided by Habil showed no evidence of an accident occurring. Furthermore, CCTV footage from the area revealed no other vehicles, raising suspicions regarding Habil’s account of what had transpired.

Police Investigation and Unraveling the Truth

Upon further questioning, Habil’s story started to crumble, leading investigators to uncover the sinister truth behind Sofia’s death. According to police sources, the motive for the murder stemmed from family concerns regarding Sofia’s social life. A video of her with another young man had gone viral, allegedly causing distress within the family. Her father and brother reportedly became increasingly worried about potential social embarrassment stemming from her perceived romantic relationships.

The police investigation revealed that Farooq, Sofia’s father, and Habil had plotted her murder approximately three months prior to the incident. They specifically selected August 12 as the execution date, timing their actions during a rainstorm to avoid detection. The route chosen for Sofia’s journey was carefully considered due to its limited CCTV coverage and dimly lit surroundings.

On the day of the incident, Farooq and Habil rode to Sofia’s workplace in Bopal, and during their return journey, they invited her onto the motorcycle. Habil had concealed a hammer, which he then used to strike Sofia on the head, rendering her unconscious. Subsequently, he further assaulted her with the hammer before disposing of her body by the roadside in an effort to stage the crime scene.

Aftermath of the Incident

Following Sofia’s death, both Farooq and Habil continued to ride with her body on the motorcycle, eventually placing her by the roadside to create the illusion of an accident. To enhance the deception, Habil intentionally injured himself and damaged the motorcycle. This elaborate staging was aimed at diverting police attention away from the possibility of murder.

Initially, traffic police treated the case as a standard road accident. However, about one month later, various anomalies in the case led to a deeper investigation, revealing the premeditated nature of the crime. This prompted the M Division police to register a murder case against Farooq and Habil, culminating in their arrest.

The disturbing nature of this case has drawn significant attention, highlighting underlying issues of familial control and societal pressures. The investigation continues as authorities work to piece together the circumstances that led to this shocking act of violence against Sofia.

न्याय व्यवस्था में माफिया का प्रभाव

जज रवि कुमार ने अपने आदेश में माफिया और बाहुबलियों की भूमिका पर गंभीर चिंता जताई है। उन्होंने उल्लेख किया कि पश्चिमी उत्तर प्रदेश में गुंडा गिरी का इतना प्रभाव है कि न्यायपालिका भी इस दबाव में काम कर रही है। जज ने अपने फैसले में बताया है कि कैसे न्याय में बाधा डाली जाती है और अपराधी कानून का डर तक नहीं मानते।

गैंगस्टर की धमकी का जिक्र

फैसले के दौरान जज ने एक कथित गैंगस्टर द्वारा दी गई धमकी का भी जिक्र किया। गैंगस्टर ने कहा था कि अगर जज उनके खिलाफ कुछ बोले, तो वह अपने प्रभाव का इस्तेमाल कर उन्हें जिले से बाहर तबादला करा सकता है। इस धमकी ने जज को और भी मजबूत साबित किया, जिन्होंने कहा कि वह डर नहीं मानेंगे।

मुख्य सचिव को आदेश

जज रवि कुमार ने अपने आदेश की एक प्रति उत्तर प्रदेश के मुख्य सचिव को भी भेजी है। उन्होंने यह सुनिश्चित करने के लिए कहा है कि अपराधी अपने पसंद का न्यायालय चुनने में सफल न हो पाएं। इस सख्त कदम से न्याय व्यवस्था को मजबूत करने का प्रयास किया गया है।

उन्होंने मुजफ्फरनगर में विक्की त्यागी की हत्या का भी जिक्र किया। दरअसल, कई बार अपराधी प्रभाव का इस्तेमाल करके मुकदमों को लटका देते हैं। जज ने कहा कि माफिया की असली ताकत केवल तलवारों और बंदूकों से तय नहीं होती, बल्कि राजनीतिक समर्थन और सामाजिक नेटवर्क से भी होती है।

न्यायपालिका की स्वतंत्रता की आवश्यकता

जज रवि कुमार ने कहा कि अगर कोई जज बाहुबलियों या गुंडों के दबाव में आता है, तो इसका परिणाम जनता के न्यायपालिका पर विश्वास को कमजोर करेगा। उन्होंने न्यायपालिका की स्वतंत्रता की आवश्यकता पर खास जोर दिया और कहा कि यह सुनिश्चित करना बेहद जरूरी है कि न्याय का कोई भी निर्णय ऐसे दबावों में न हो।
