“It’s a conversation I love having with them. Because I myself am not the most religious of people. My mother taught me, and I taught my kids, that there’s one god and he has many names. It’s as simple as that. You worship him in different places. And if your religion talks about love and forgiveness to your fellow men, then that’s it,” he said.

Saif’s remarks draw from a family history shaped by interfaith relationships. He is the son of late cricketer Mansoor Ali Khan Pataudi and Sharmila Tagore. He was previously married to Amrita Singh and is now married to Kareena Kapoor Khan.

In its opening weekend, Cocktail 2 recorded impressive figures: Rs 13.50 crore on Friday, Rs 16.25 crore on Saturday, and Rs 17.75 crore on Sunday, bringing the total to Rs 47 crore.

However, the film has since seen a decline in ticket sales, with each day recording lower collections.

The first week concluded with a nett collection of Rs 70.50 crore. Following that period, the film experienced further declines, earning Rs 6.75 crore on both Monday and Tuesday, followed by Rs 5.25 crore on Wednesday and Rs 4.25 crore on Thursday. The second Friday yielded Rs 4 crore, and the subsequent Saturday saw slight improvement with Rs 4.25 crore, yet this still signifies limited growth.
