										<content:encoded><![CDATA[<h4>Kolkata, India: In the beginning of the financial year 2025-26, the West Bengal government decided to lift the face of the road transport and for this reason, state government already allocated Rs 1400 crore for the Public Works Department (PWD). This money specially spend for the development of the rural roads.</h4>
<h4>PWD department sources said, with this money department will repair and widen 15 thousand kilometre roads and repair and newly construction of 250 number of small and medium bridge.</h4>
<h1>Pathasree project</h1>
<h4>In 2020, Mamata Banerjee had inaugurated “Pathasree” project for maintenance and construction of rural roads. Now the second phase of this project is going on.</h4>
<h4>A senior official of PWD department said, “state government already spent crores of rupees in this project and 37 thousand rural roads has built in this project. Now second phase has been started and in this second phase main work is to maintain those roads which has been constructed in these years.”</h4>
<h1>Tender process started</h1>
<h4>In 2024-24 financial year, state government made target to build 12 thousand kilometre rural roads. According to PWD department sources, that target already been fulfilled.</h4>
<h4>Now in 2024-26 financial year. State government already approved 1400 crore rupees. A official said, “We already sumitted our detail report of pending project has been submitted to the finance department. After getting approval of finance department we will float the tender process.”</h4>
