Notably, officials from the Building Construction Department visited the residence on June 24, but they did not provide the authorised list of furniture and other items that were supplied at the time of the bungalow’s allotment. The bungalow at 10 Circular Road has been under Rabri Devi’s tenure since 2006, indicating a long-standing association with the property. RJD’s Mukesh Kumar Roshan is at second place. He has got 22443 votes. Tej Pratap Yadav is at third position from this seat, who has received 17436 votes so far.

Prasad posted a message on social media X saying, “Ignoring moral values in personal life weakens the collective struggle for social cause. The activities, public conduct and irresponsible behaviour of the eldest son are not in accordance with our family values and traditions. Therefore, due to the above circumstances, I remove him from the party and family. From now on, he will not have any role of any kind in the party and family. He is expelled from the party for 6 years.”

Prasad further said, “He is capable of seeing the good and bad and merits and demerits of his personal life. All those who have relations with him should take their own decisions. I have always been an advocate of public shame in public life. The obedient members of the family have adopted and followed this idea in public life.”

Sources in the party said that Prasad has taken the decision to disown his elder son after he posted pictures of his remarriage with a girl named Anushka Yadav. In that post he claimed that he had been in a relationship with the girl visible in the picture for the past 12 years.

4 former MLAs included among the leaders expelled from RJD

On Monday, the party said that the party leaders/workers involved in anti-party activities or against the authorized candidates of RJD in the Bihar Assembly general elections 2025 are expelled from the primary membership of the party for 6 years. Those expelled from the party include 4 former MLAs, from Block President to District General Secretary.

In an official communication dated October 27, RJD state president Mangani Lal Mandal announced the expulsions, stating that the leaders had either contested as independent candidates or campaigned against official party nominees in various constituencies across Bihar. The expelled members include sitting MLAs, several former legislators, and key organisational functionaries at state and district levels.

Among the prominent names on the list is Chhote Lal Rai, the sitting MLA from Parsa constituency in Saran district. Rai, who won the seat in 2020 by defeating JD(U)’s Chandrika Roy with a margin of over 17,000 votes, has been associated with the RJD for years and has also previously represented the constituency under JD(U) banners.

Another notable expulsion is that of Mohammad Kamran, the sitting MLA from Gobindpur in Nawada district. Kamran won the seat in 2020 with a commanding margin of over 33,000 votes, securing nearly half the total votes polled.

Election results will come on 14 November 2025

There are a total of 243 seats in Bihar Assembly, voting for which will be held in two phases. The first phase of elections in the state will be held on Thursday 6 November 2025. The second phase of elections will be held on Tuesday 11 November 2025. In the first phase, voting will be held for a total of 121 seats, while in the second phase, voting will be held for a total of 122 assembly seats. Its results will come on Friday, 14 November 2025.

The RJD leader also alleged that the ECI was “helping the BJP leaders” to secure two voter cards in Bihar ahead of the Assembly elections, as per a PTI report. Addressing a press conference in Patna, Tejashwi alleged that names of people from other states were being added to Bihar’s voter list during the Special Intensive Revision (SIR) ahead of the Assembly election.

He is the State Organisation General Secretary of Bihar BJP. He is a close confidant of Prime Minister Modi Ji and Home Minister Amit Shah Ji. He has been assigned to BJP’s special #Bihar project.

In the 2024 Lok Sabha elections, he voted in Home Minister Shri Amit Shah Ji’s Lok Sabha constituency, Gandhinagar. Now, with the Bihar Assembly elections approaching, he has removed his name from Gujarat’s voter list and become a voter in Bihar. Once the Bihar elections are over, he will likely become a voter in another state. He should clarify how many times and in how many states he votes in a span of five years.

In the place in Bihar where he is registered as a voter, no address or house number is listed in the voter list. His name in Bihar’s voter list is written not in Hindi but in the Gujarati language, so that no Hindi-speaking person can read it. In a separate X post, Tejashwi accused the Election Commission of allowing Muzaffarpur Mayor Nirmala Devi and her two brothers-in-law, Manoj Kumar and Dilip Kumar to have two different EPIC cards each, with two different votes at two different booths.

He wrote on X, “Another revelation today: Mrs. Nirmala Devi is a prominent BJP leader and the Mayor of Muzaffarpur. She possesses two EPIC IDs – REM1251917 and GSB1835164. She has two different votes at two different booths in the same constituency. Her two different EPIC cards list two different ages. In the SIR, she filled out two different enumeration forms. During the voter list revision, she must have signed two different forms with two different signatures. The Election Commission verified that the Mayor herself signed these two different forms. How did she end up with two different votes in the same constituency, with two different EPIC cards and two different ages, in the new draft list published by the Election Commission?”

When the Election Commission itself is doing this in a single constituency, what is the point of the SIR? This implies that the Election Commission is facilitating the creation of multiple fake votes for BJP supporters within a single household.”

The ERO added: “From the facts, it appears that the EPIC card number RAB2916120 displayed by you in the press conference is fake. Making and using fake government documents is a legal offence. You are once again requested to submit your seemingly fake EPIC card in the office of the Electoral Registration Officer by 5 p.m. on August 16, 2025,” mentions the letter signed by the ERO.

This comes a day after the young politician said he is getting “a good reply” drafted for the Election Commission (ECI) over the notice he was issued last week for having two EPIC numbers. He also pointed a finger at the Election Commission asking, “Whose lapse is it if two EPIC numbers have been issued in my name?”

Tejashwi Yadav alleges his name is missing from draft electoral rolls

A day after the draft electoral rolls were published on August 1, Tejashwi had hosted a press conference in Patna where he alleged that his name was missing. He claimed his name was missing from the draft electoral rolls in Bihar, presenting an EPIC number, RAB2916120, during the press conference.

“I have received a notice not from the Election Commission but from the Patna district administration. A good reply is being drafted and upon receipt, they would be left with nothing to say. They are trying to fault me for their own mistake. Whose lapse is it if two EPIC numbers have been issued in my name? After all, I have been casting my vote from only one place,” Tejashwi told media in Patna on Thursday.

Tejashwi Yadav’s EPIC number “not officially issued”: Election Commission

The Election Commission refuted this claim, stating Yadav’s name was indeed present in the draft rolls under the EPIC number RAB0456228, which he had also used in his 2020 election affidavit. Reacting to the Rashtriya Janata Dal (RJD) leader’s allegations, the ECI has also sent a notice to him saying that the voter ID which he showed in the press conference on Saturday, claiming that he was not included in the voter list, was “not officially issued”.

The ECI further had asked him to provide the original EPIC card for investigation. The commission stated that Tejashwi Yadav was indeed listed at serial number 416 of polling station number 204 at Patna’s Bihar Animal Sciences University.

“In the context of the subject, it is to be said that on August 2, you organised a press conference and informed the media that your EPIC number is RAB2916120 and, on searching on the official website of the Election Commission of India with the said EPIC number, your name was not found in the draft electoral list and [was] deleted,”.

“During investigation, it was found that your name is mentioned with EPIC number RAB0456228 at polling station number 204, Library building number 416 of Bihar Animal Science University. Even after matching with the database of voter lists of the last several years, the EPIC card number RAB2916120 displayed in the press conference was not found to be issued by the Election Commission of India,” the ERO’s letter to Tejashwi further mentions.
