Rawat reported that emergency services were rapidly deployed following the incident. Specifically, eight emergency response police vehicles and a fire rescue team, along with ambulances, were mobilised to assist in the rescue efforts. The initial count indicated that thirty-two individuals were rescued, but unfortunately, ten were confirmed dead, and twenty-two are safe.

The scale of the search operation has been significant, with multiple teams actively scouring the river. Rawat indicated that there were eight teams from the National Disaster Response Force (NDRF), five teams from the State Disaster Response Force (SDRF), and three teams from the Provincial Armed Constabulary (PAC) engaged in the operation. The search area covered a distance of 14 kilometres, with nearly 120 private divers taking part in the efforts.

Ongoing Search Efforts

Search operations commenced early on the morning following the incident, with efforts led by the NDRF, SDRF, and PAC boats, alongside local divers. The involvement of deep-sea divers from the NDRF was also confirmed, enhancing the search capabilities in this challenging environment. According to Rawat, the teams began their efforts at approximately 5:30 AM on Saturday, focusing efforts on locating any missing persons in the area.

Authorities are in the process of verifying how many passengers were aboard the ill-fated boat at the time of capsizing. Rawat stated that a definitive count was still being established, as some individuals were taken to various hospitals for treatment, including private facilities. Confirmation of the total number of passengers is essential to determine if anyone is still unaccounted for.

Assistant District Magistrate (Judicial) Ved Priya Arya noted that rescue agencies are effectively coordinating their efforts with local administration. Arya mentioned that various rescue teams, including SDRF, NDRF, PAC, and fire rescue teams, have been actively involved in the operation. Communication is maintained with the families of victims and survivors, assuring them that efforts will continue until everyone is accounted for.

Government Response and Assistance

Prime Minister Narendra Modi has announced an ex-gratia payment from the Prime Minister’s National Relief Fund (PMNRF) in response to this tragic event. The Prime Minister stated that the next of kin of each deceased person will receive an amount of Rs 2 lakh. Additionally, individuals who sustained injuries in the incident will be compensated with Rs 50,000 for their medical needs.

The ongoing rescue and search efforts near Keshi Ghat in Vrindavan remain a priority for officials, with assurances from authorities that they are committed to recovering everyone involved in the incident. Meanwhile, the search continues across the affected areas of the Yamuna River as teams work collaboratively to locate any remaining individuals.

As the search operation progresses, the focus remains on providing support to affected families and ensuring accurate information is disseminated regarding those still unaccounted for. The operation underscores the urgency and seriousness with which local authorities are addressing the consequences of this tragic boat accident.

जैसे ही भक्तों पर अबीर गिरा, चारों ओर ‘बांके बिहारी की जय’ के नारे लगने लगे। भक्तों की खुशी का कोई ठिकाना नहीं था। रंगों में सराबोर भक्तों ने मंदिर में जाकर बांके बिहारी जी के दर्शन किए और आशीर्वाद लिया। मंजर इतना आनंदित कर देने वाला था कि भक्तों ने बाहर आकर एक-दूसरे को गले लगाया और गुलाल उड़ाए। वृंदावन के गलियों में अबीर-गुलाल की बौछार दिखाई दे रही थी।

ढोल की थाप पर धूमधाम

भक्त जश्न मनाते हुए ढोल-नगाड़ों की ताल पर झूम रहे थे। ‘आज ब्रज में होली रे रसिया’ जैसे भजन गाए जा रहे थे। बड़ी संख्या में श्रद्धालुओं ने पंचकोसी परिक्रमा की, जिसमें कई भक्त लड्डू गोपाल को गोद में लेकर घूमते नजर आए। महिलाओं ने भी इस उत्सव में बढ़-चढ़कर हिस्सा लिया और ‘राधे-राधे’ की गूंज में रंगों की होली खेली।

डोले का आकर्षण

थोड़ी देर बाद राधाबल्लभ मंदिर से भगवान राधा-कृष्ण का भव्य डोला निकलेगा। बग्गी पर सवार होकर भगवान राधा-कृष्ण का स्वरूप शहर के विभिन्न स्थानों पर होली खेलाएंगे। भक्तों की मान्यता है कि आज वृंदावन में लगभग 10 लाख लोगों के पहुंचने की आशंका है, जो इस खुशनुमा माहौल का हिस्सा बनेंगे।

पिछले उत्सवों की यादें

इससे पहले, नंदगांव में गुरुवार को और बरसाना में बुधवार को लठमार होली का आयोजन हुआ था। इन जगहों पर भी भक्तों ने अपने उत्साह और आनंद के साथ होली मनाई। वृंदावन की होली में आने वाले भक्तों के लिए यह एक यादगार अनुभव बना हुआ है।

Lathmar Holi is steeped in the mythology of the Braj region, portraying the playful interaction between the villages of Nandagaon, associated with Krishna, and Barsana, where Radha’s home lies. As per tradition, Krishna and his friends would visit Barsana to engage with Radha and her companions, who would humorously fend them off with sticks. Men from Nandgaon participate in the event in Barsana, where they are greeted by women with mock stick assaults, all while being showered in vibrant colors.

The atmosphere during the celebrations is electric, filled with Holi bhajans and the joyful chants of ‘Radhe Radhe.’ Participants joyously apply gulal, or colored powder, on each other, enhancing the celebratory mood. The streets are beautifully adorned with flowers, traditional decorations, and an array of sweets, contributing to the spirited ambiance. People of varying ages, from youngsters to the elderly, immerse themselves in the joy of the festivities.

Preparations for Secure Celebrations

The festivities in Mathura, recognized as the birthplace of Lord Krishna, will culminate in grand processions, cultural displays, and temple rituals. With an influx of devotees expected, local authorities have implemented extensive security measures to facilitate a safe and smooth experience. The administration has divided the region into eight zones and sixteen sectors for improved security, alongside employing CCTV surveillance, traffic diversion strategies, and barricades to manage the large crowds effectively.

Authorities Ensure Safety and Enjoyment

SSP Mathura, Shlok Kumar, stated that lakhs of devotees have already gathered for the occasion, emphasizing the importance of ensuring that all participants can enjoy themselves without facing any inconvenience. Measures are in place to address any harassment, with Anti-Romeo squads and CCTV cameras strategically positioned throughout the area. The local District Magistrate, CP Singh, highlighted the directives from Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath for a grand and spiritually enriching celebration.”

“The entire town has been decorated vibrantly, reminiscent of a bride. Teams focused on medical, sanitation, and logistical support have been mobilized in smaller sectors, ensuring devotee safety. The goal is to provide a delightful experience to the visitors, hoping they will return in future years. Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath has repeatedly emphasized the need for preparations that reflect both devotion and grandeur,” remarked the District Magistrate.

Initiation of Laddu Mar Holi

Prior to Lathmar Holi, the festive spirit was already alive with the energetic celebration of Laddu Mar Holi at the Shri Ladliji Maharaj temple in Barsana. Participants in the temple resonated with devotional songs and rituals, while the external festivities also included devotees openly sharing laddus, covered in colors, showcasing the essence of communal joy and unity that defines Holi.

वृंदावन की गलियों में बसे इस मंदिर को न केवल उत्तर प्रदेश बल्कि पूरे भारत में एक महत्वपूर्ण धार्मिक और सांस्कृतिक केंद्र माना जाता है।भगवान कृष्ण को समर्पित यह मंदिर अपनी अनोखी परंपराओं, चमत्कारिक मान्यताओं और दिव्य वातावरण के कारण दुनियाभर के भक्तों को आकर्षित करता है। ऐसा विश्वास है कि जो भक्त बांके बिहारी के दर्शन करता है वह उन्हीं का हो जाता है.हर आरती के समय घंटा, शंख और भजन की ध्वनि से वातावरण भक्तिमय बन जाता है।

क्यों कहा जाता है कृष्ण को बांके बिहारी?

‘बांके’ शब्द का अर्थ है, तीन स्थानों से झुकी हुई मुद्रा (त्रिभंग), और ‘बिहारी’ का अर्थ है, आनंद लेने वाला या जीवन के श्रेष्ठ उपभोग को जानने वाला।श्रीकृष्ण बांसुरी बजाते समय अपने दाहिने घुटने को बाएं पर मोड़कर, हाथ को तिरछा रखकर और सिर को हल्का झुकाकर खड़े होते थे। यही त्रिभंग मुद्रा उन्हें “बांके बिहारी” बनाती है।

मंदिर की स्थापना और इतिहास

बांके बिहारी जी की मूर्ति की स्थापना 1562 ई. में हुई थी। भक्त और संत स्वामी हरिदास जी ने निधिवन में भक्ति गीत गाते हुए राधा-कृष्ण की युगल जोड़ी को अपने सामने प्रकट होते देखा।भक्तों के आग्रह पर राधा-कृष्ण का रूप बांके बिहारी के रूप में प्रकट हुआ।स्वामी हरिदास जी, प्रसिद्ध संगीतज्ञ तानसेन के गुरु थे और उनका संबंध निंबार्क पंथ से था।वर्तमान मंदिर का निर्माण 1860 ई. में हुआ, जो राजस्थानी स्थापत्य कला का सुंदर उदाहरण है।

बिहारी जी की मूर्ति

मूर्ति काले रंग की है और त्रिभंग मुद्रा में स्थित है।मूर्ति की आंखों में लंबे समय तक सीधे देखने से बचने की परंपरा है, क्योंकि माना जाता है कि भक्त अपना आपा खो सकते हैं। इसलिए मंदिर में परदे के पीछे से झलक दर्शन की परंपरा है।भक्तों की भीड़ इतनी होती है कि मूर्ति तक पहुंचना कभी-कभी कठिन होता है, लेकिन भक्त इसे अपनी भक्ति की परीक्षा मानते हैं।यहां  कभी भी खाली समय नहीं होता हमेशा भक्तों की भीड़ और भजन-कीर्तन चलता रहता है।

मंदिर से जुड़े रहस्य और मान्यताएं

मूर्ति को निधिवन से लाया गया था, जहां अब भी रात में रहस्यमयी घटनाएं घटती बताई जाती हैं।कहा जाता है कि मंदिर में रखे शीशे अपने आप टूट जाते हैं, जो मूर्ति की दिव्यता और ऊर्जा का संकेत है।मूर्ति में दो प्राण विराजमान माने जाते हैं, श्रीकृष्ण और राधा, और शीशा टूटने की घटनाएं इस शक्तिशाली आध्यात्मिक ऊर्जा को दर्शाती हैं।

कुछ भक्त मानते हैं कि सीसा टूटना भगवान बांके बिहारी की लीला का संकेत है।कहा जाता है कि भक्तों की भक्ति और उनके आस्था का परिक्षण इस तरह की घटनाओं से होता है।कुछ मान्यताओं में कहा जाता है कि जब भक्त अत्यधिक दुख या संकट में होते हैं, तब भगवान अपनी कृपा दिखाने के लिए सीसा “टूटने” जैसी घटना कर देते हैं, जिससे भक्तों की आस्था बढ़ती है।

विशेष पर्व और आयोजन

प्रकटोत्सव: मार्गशीर्ष मास की पंचमी तिथि को बड़े उत्सव के साथ बांके बिहारी जी का प्रकटोत्सव मनाया जाता है।
अक्षय तृतीया: केवल इसी दिन भगवान के चरणों के दर्शन होते हैं।

अन्य पर्व: जन्माष्टमी, होली, झूलन उत्सव मंदिर में अत्यंत धूमधाम से मनाए जाते हैं।

भोग का महत्व

• भोग में आम तौर पर खीर, पूड़ी, लड्डू, फल और मिठाइयां चढ़ाई जाती हैं।

• इसे भगवान के प्रति भक्ति और प्रेम के रूप में अर्पित किया जाता है।

• भोग के बाद भक्तों को प्रसाद के रूप में वितरित किया जाता है।

• प्रसाद खाने से माना जाता है कि शुभ फल, सुख और समृद्धि मिलती है

विशेष बातें

मंदिर में केवल सादा और शुद्ध भोग ही स्वीकार किया जाता है। भक्तों को मूर्ति के बहुत पास जाने की अनुमति नहीं होती, इसलिए भोग मुख्य रूप से मंदिर के पंडाल में रखा जाता है।

बांके बिहारी मंदिर का महत्व

यह मंदिर केवल भारत ही नहीं, बल्कि विदेशों के भक्तों के लिए भी आस्था का केंद्र हैIमाना जाता है कि यहां दर्शन मात्र से राधा-कृष्ण दोनों के दर्शन का फल प्राप्त होता हैI यही कारण है कि इसे वृंदावन का सबसे लोकप्रिय और चमत्कारी मंदिर कहा जाता है।
