Sources have indicated that following her performance in Heeramandi, Koirala received a multitude of offers from various film projects. However, she was selective in her choices, opting for roles that were strong and well-developed. Despite being in advanced discussions for another project featuring a younger actor, those plans were ultimately abandoned, and the film was shelved. In contrast, the script for Raazdar aligned perfectly with her aspirations, leading her to sign on for the film.

Production Details of Raazdar

According to reports from Box Office Worldwide, production for Raazdar commenced earlier this year. The cast and crew managed to complete a 25-day shooting schedule in Bhopal, Madhya Pradesh, before moving to Mumbai for an additional 10 days of filming. This project not only features Koirala but also stars Arbaaz Khan and Bhuvan Arora, well known for his role in the show Farzi. Additionally, Arbaaz Khan is the producer of the film under his production company, Arbaaz Khan Production.

Bhuvan Arora recently confirmed his involvement in Raazdar during an interview with Hindustan Times. He shared insights about his forthcoming role as he anticipates becoming a father soon. He noted that working alongside Arbaaz Khan provided invaluable guidance on how to support his partner during this significant life change, emphasizing a collaborative and caring environment on set.

This not the first collaboration between Koirala and Khan, as they previously appeared together in the historical film Taj Mahal: An Eternal Love Story, released in 2005. In that film, Koirala portrayed Jahan Ara, while Khan took on the role of Aurangzeb.

Arbaaz Khan’s Production Journey Continues

Raazdar marks the seventh film produced by Arbaaz Khan Productions. The production house has previously been behind several notable films, including Dabangg (2010), Dabangg 2 (2012), Dolly Ki Doli (2015), Dabangg 3 (2019), Patna Shukla (2024), and Bandaa Singh Chaudhary (2024). Apart from producing feature films, Arbaaz has also worked on other projects, serving as the executive producer for the upcoming documentary series Angry Young Men, set to release on Prime Video in 2025.

As Koirala and Khan reunite on this new project, the film industry is eager to see the chemistry they bring to the screen once again, making Raazdar a highly anticipated entry in their respective filmographies.
