The Gorkha Regiments of the Indian Army comrpising Nepali and Indian Gorkha soldiers are known for their combat prowess and bravery. Gorkha soldiers pray to Goddess Kali before a battle. It is believed that during the 1971 war with Pakistan, some Pakistani soldiers surrendered during a surprise Gorkha attack after they saw mysterious black shadows with swords!

Lord Krishna and Mathura-based regiments

Many soldiers of the Mathura-based regiment of the Indian Army wear Lord Krishna pendants. A miraculous story goes like this that once a shell missed an entire unit shortly after they finished chanting the Hare Krishna mantra!

Lord Hanuman and Kargil War

During the 1999 Kargil war, many Indian soldiers reported miraculous escape from enemy attack after praying to Lord Hanuman. In several bunkers, Hanuman Chalisa was found pinned on walls and soldiers believed that divine intervention saved them.

Dogra regiment and Maa Vaishno Devi

The highly decorated and prestigious Dogra regiment often take Prasad from Vaishno Devi temple before deployment. Several battalions have reported miraculous survival in extreme conditions.

Sri Chakra Yantra and Sino-Indian War 1962

During the Sino-Indian War of 1962, some South Indian regiments carried Sri Chakra Yantras. Some senior soldiers have claimed that they survived heavy shelling after meditating briefly before the attacks.
