CJP Founder Leads Demonstration

The protest was led by Abhijeet Dipke, who arrived in New Delhi from Boston in the United States to participate in the demonstration.

Dipke was seen carrying a book associated with B. R. Ambedkar, with the party describing its protest as being rooted in constitutional principles.

Ahead of the demonstration, the organisation announced on social media that it would launch a campaign seeking the resignation of the Education Minister and raising concerns over the integrity of national examinations.

Delhi Police Grants Permission

According to an official order issued by the office of the Additional Deputy Commissioner of Police, New Delhi District, permission was granted for the protest to be held at Jantar Mantar from 10 am to 5 pm.

The approval was provided as a one-time exemption in accordance with Supreme Court guidelines governing public demonstrations in the national capital.

Following the approval, CJP informed supporters that participants could gather directly at Jantar Mantar rather than at the Parliament Street Police Station, which had initially been considered as an assembly point.

NEET Controversy Continues To Spark Debate

The protest comes against the backdrop of ongoing investigations into alleged irregularities in national-level entrance examinations, including the NEET-UG controversy.

Authorities have rescheduled this year’s examination for June 21 following disruptions linked to alleged paper leaks and administrative issues. The matter continues to be investigated by the Central Bureau of Investigation, which has made multiple arrests in connection with the case.

Recent briefings by senior officials, including Praveen Sood and Abhishek Singh, were presented before a parliamentary committee reviewing developments in the investigation.

Opposition Parties Step Up Pressure

The controversy has triggered demonstrations by student groups in several cities, with protesters demanding transparency and reforms in the examination process.

Political reactions have also intensified, with opposition leaders questioning the government’s handling of examination administration and allegations of recurring irregularities.

Among those who have criticised the Centre over the issue are Arvind Kejriwal, Jairam Ramesh and Rahul Gandhi.

The protest at Jantar Mantar adds to growing public pressure on authorities as investigations continue and stakeholders seek assurances that future examinations will be conducted transparently and without disruption.
