In the wake of India’s falling rank in the Global Hunger Index, The International Society of Krishna Consciousness (ISKCON) Food Relief Foundation, Haryana had launch a campaign against hunger, “#ZeroHungerHaryana” in the state. According to its government’s Vision 2030 Document, released by the state Chief Minister Manohar Lal Khattar, hunger eradication from the state is one of its foremost goals.

South Asian Association for Regional Cooperation (SAARC) 7 delegates and representatives partook of the midday meal and enjoyed the sumptuous meal with the students of the school.

In the recently announced Global Hunger Index (GHI-2017), India was ranked at the 100th position. It slipped down from rank 97 in 2016.

BJP Spokesperson from Haryana, Raman Malik visited the Gurugram Kitchen. He said, “On one hand, many children don’t get enough food and on the other there are children who rely on the mid-day meal provided in school for their physical and mental growth.” 20 thousand Chapatis were being made in one hour. The unmatched modern infrastructure of the kitchen was seen as an excellent example of the welfare of society.

The mid-day meal project serves Satvik Food – Blessed Food to the children which helps the child to grow based on that nutrition, makes him healthier, stronger, brighter and more determined in their life.

As individuals, we can impart moral values by the medium of food and always look forward to active participation and support to help achieve the greater heights in the endeavour of providing nutritious food to children.
